About
Over the past three years, we have developed a close partnership with Kyoto University, working through the iCeMS research center and its venture arm Kyoto-iCAP to establish a deep tech incubation and investment platform. This collaboration has enabled multiple research teams and faculty members to commercialize core technologies and spin off startups with international potential.
Through this platform, we have incubated startups in areas such as automated iPS cell manufacturing, nanomedicine, and functional materials, several of which are now engaged in cross-border development or clinical validation with Taiwanese partners.
We are currently co-developing the Innovation Kyoto 2026 Fund, a joint initiative backed by Japanese and Taiwanese investors to accelerate the global expansion of university-based innovations. This initiative has also been highlighted as part of Kyoto University’s application for Japan’s ¥10 trillion University Endowment Fund, underscoring its strategic importance in national innovation and technology transfer.https://www.icems.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en/innovation/
